Superbus…
This unique looking vehicle is being developed by the Delft University of Technology in Netherlands is called the Superbus.

Serious alternative…
Designed to be an alternative to buses & magnetic trains, this aerodynamic, lightweight vehicle can run on roads or on special “Supertracks” and uses on electricity rather than gas. The designers predict that the Superbus will be able to travel up to 155mph and should carry around 30 people.

Key features…

Electric (or fuel cell) powered…

155mph (250kph) top speed…

Max 30 passengers…

0-60mph in 35+ seconds (estimate)…

‘Bus length’, slightly taller than an SUV (1.7 metres high)…

Drives on ordinary roads and dedicated “supertracks”…

Launch date: 2008…

Funded largely by the Dutch government…

Latest technology…
The Superbus will be driven using advanced computer software and potential passengers will be able to book online or via their mobiles.
